Sidus Space partners with Lonestar for secure orbit data storage solution.
On October 26, 2025, Sidus Space announced a Commercial Pathfinder Mission Agreement with Lonestar Data Holdings to integrate high-capacity digital data storage and edge processing onto the LizzieSat-5 satellite, part of Sidus’ micro-constellation in Low Earth Orbit. This mission aims to establish a sovereign and secure data infrastructure in space, allowing for efficient data management directly in orbit. Operating at an altitude of 500-550 km, Sidus will maintain control during launch and commissioning, highlighting an ongoing partnership that includes a $120 million deal for lunar data storage spacecraft. This development is significant as it reinforces the importance of space sovereignty and resilience amid increasing demands for secure space-based data networks.
