Russia has renewed its proposal to supply India with the S-350 Vityaz air defence system, offering comprehensive Technology Transfer to enhance India’s existing S-400 air defence capabilities. Positioned as a “force multiplier,” the S-350 is designed to protect the high-value S-400 assets from saturation attacks, featuring advanced radar and increased missile capacity. This offer comes as India invests in indigenous projects like “Project Kusha,” which aims to develop a long-range missile comparable to the S-400. By integrating the S-350 into India’s “Make in India” initiative, Russia seeks to support India’s immediate operational needs while fostering local manufacturing capabilities in the defense sector.
