Rolls-Royce to Establish MRO for AE2100 Engines in India, Boosting Defense Ties

Aerospace giant Rolls-Royce is exploring opportunities to establish maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) capabilities in India for the AE2100 engine used by the Indian Air Force, aligning with the India-UK Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and the Vision 2035 roadmap. The initiative aims to strengthen bilateral defense ties and enhance local capabilities, with Rolls-Royce planning to double its sourcing from India over the next five years.
