This visit, the first by an Indian Defence Minister to Morocco, highlighted the historical friendship and strategic convergence between the two nations. A significant achievement during this visit was the inauguration of Tata Advanced Systems’ manufacturing facility in Berrechid, the first Indian defence plant in Africa, underscoring India’s commitment to boosting defence exports through the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative. This collaboration not only strengthens bilateral ties but also positions India as a key player in global defence manufacturing, reflecting its rising stature on the international stage.
