PM Modi launches Skyroot's Infinity Campus and Vikram-I rocket, highlighting India's space advancements.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on November 27, 2025, virtually inaugurated the Infinity Campus of Skyroot Aerospace in Hyderabad, marking a major milestone for India’s private space sector. Alongside this, he unveiled Skyroot’s first orbital rocket, Vikram-I, capable of launching satellites into orbit. The Infinity Campus is a state-of-the-art facility spanning nearly 200,000 square feet, equipped for the design, development, integration, and testing of multiple launch vehicles, with the capacity to build one orbital rocket per month. PM Modi highlighted the historic space sector reforms that have opened doors for private players, driving innovation and entrepreneurship fueled by India’s youth power. He credited these advancements to government support and regulatory frameworks that have nurtured over 300 space startups, positioning India at the forefront of global space technology.
