Panama Purchases Four Embraer A-29 Super Tucano Aircraft

Panama has signed a contract to acquire four A-29 Super Tucano aircraft from Embraer, enhancing its surveillance and protection capabilities through the Panamanian National Air and Naval Service. This decision marks Panama as the eighth Latin American nation to adopt the Super Tucano, renowned for its reliability and low operational costs, and it boasts over 600,000 flight hours with 22 air forces worldwide choosing this platform. The Super Tucano’s versatility in various missions, including air patrol and reconnaissance, underlines its strategic value, aligning well with contemporary defense needs in the region and reinforcing national sovereignty against illicit activities.
