Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan emphasized the significance of Operation Sindoor as a paradigm of modern warfare at the Delhi Defence Dialogue on November 11, 2025. He highlighted the effective deployment of precision strike capabilities, network-centric operations, and digitized intelligence within a compressed timeframe, underscoring the necessity for military leadership to adapt to evolving technological landscapes. General Chauhan stressed that technological superiority is critical for victory in contemporary warfare, shaped by emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Robotics. The event, marking the 60th Foundation Day of the Manohar Parrikar Institute for Defence Studies and Analyses, focused on harnessing new-age technology for enhancing India’s defense capabilities. Discussions advocated for a balance between foreign technology acquisition and indigenous manufacturing under the Aatmanirbharta initiative, underscoring the importance of self-reliance in bolstering national security and defense modernization amidst shifting geopolitical dynamics.
