NAL Develops Stealthy Low-RCS EW Antenna for AMCA Fighter

In a notable advancement for India’s defense capabilities, the National Aerospace Laboratories (NAL) has developed a low-radar cross-section (RCS) ultra-wideband electronic warfare antenna for the Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft (AMCA). This innovative antenna is flush-mounted on the aircraft’s body, enhancing stealth and enabling active RCS reduction, crucial for fifth-generation fighter technology. Its ability to operate across a broad frequency spectrum allows the AMCA to counter diverse radar threats, while active RCS reduction techniques significantly enhance its survivability. This development underscores India’s commitment to indigenous defense innovation and positions the AMCA as a formidable player in modern aerial warfare.
