In a significant advancement for Morocco’s military modernization and India’s defense export strategy, the Royal Moroccan Army has procured 150 Tata Advanced Systems Limited Wheeled Armoured Platforms (WhAP) 88, integrated with the Elbit Systems UT30MK2 unmanned turret. This landmark deal, marking India’s largest armored vehicle export, was formalized in September 2024 and includes local production in Morocco, creating substantial employment opportunities. The WhAP 88, versatile and amphibious, is designed to excel in various terrains and operational roles, enhancing Morocco’s combat capabilities.
