Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has unveiled the Zorawar Light Tank, a 25-ton armored vehicle co-developed with the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), tailored for India’s diverse operational environments, particularly high-altitude terrains. This tank features a modular design that allows for scalability to 30-35 tons, enhancing its adaptability for various missions, including desert operations. With a robust power-to-weight ratio exceeding 30 hp/tonne, the Zorawar is equipped for agility and combat effectiveness, showcasing its capabilities through successful trials in desert conditions. This development reflects India’s commitment to self-reliance in defense, aiming to counter regional threats, particularly amid ongoing tensions along the Line of Actual Control with China.
