Lloyds Engineering Works and Fly Focus have established a partnership to co-develop advanced electronic surveillance drones, marking a significant Indo-European collaboration in defense technology. The agreement aims to integrate indigenous manufacturing with European avionics, producing dual-use drones designed for long-endurance missions and real-time electronic signal interception, enhancing India’s border surveillance and counter-infiltration capabilities. This initiative aligns with India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat programs, promoting self-reliance and technology transfer, while also generating local employment and bolstering the UAV supply chain. The partnership anticipates joint research and development in both India and Poland, with long-term prospects for export through collaborative licensing arrangements, thereby strengthening technological ties between the two nations.
