Israel to Acquire Two More Boeing Refueling Aircraft for IDF

The Israel Ministry of Defense is set to sign a contract with the U.S. Government for the procurement of two additional Boeing KC-46 refueling aircraft, expanding its fleet to six. This investment, estimated at half a billion USD and funded through U.S. aid, aims to enhance the Israel Defense Forces’ (IDF) long-range capabilities, allowing the Israeli Air Force (IAF) to conduct missions over greater distances. The deal reflects the strong U.S.-Israel defense partnership and underscores Israel’s commitment to modernizing its military infrastructure in response to evolving regional threats, thereby strengthening its strategic position in the Middle East.
