India’s Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) is reportedly in advanced discussions to export the upgraded BMP-2 Infantry Fighting Vehicles (IFVs) to Nigeria and Tanzania, marking a significant step in India’s expanding defense exports in Africa. These modernized BMP-2s, developed with a remarkable 98.5% indigenisation level, feature advanced night-vision systems and enhanced fire-control capabilities, making them suitable for various combat scenarios, particularly amid regional insurgencies and threats.
