Indian Navy Showcases Camcopter S-100 UAVs with Philippine Navy
Indian Navy warships recently visited the Port of Manila for a joint maritime patrol with the Philippine Navy, showcasing the Indian-assembled Scheibel Camcopter S-100 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This event highlights the strengthening of bilateral naval ties and the commitment to a rules-based Indo-Pacific. The locally assembled Camcopter S-100s, part of India’s Make in India initiative, enhance the Indian Navy’s ISR capabilities with advanced sensors and a notable operational range. This cooperation exemplifies India’s strategic focus on self-reliance in defense, while also addressing regional maritime challenges such as piracy and ensuring the safety of crucial sea lanes.
