The Indian Navy has launched its eleventh Ammunition Cum Torpedo Cum Missile (ACTCM) Barge, LSAM 25, on September 8, 2025, at Suryadipta Projects Pvt Ltd in Thane, marking a significant milestone in India’s defense capabilities. These barges, designed and constructed indigenously, reflect the government’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiatives, promoting self-reliance in defense production. With ten of the eleven barges already delivered and operationally effective, this project underscores the collaboration between MSME shipyards and Indian design firms, enhancing India’s naval readiness and technological prowess in maritime operations.
