The Indian Navy has operationalized Cooperative Engagement Capability (CEC) on 10 warships, enhancing its maritime defense and positioning it as the second-largest fleet with this advanced technology, after the US Navy. This capability enables real-time sensor data sharing for integrated fire control, crucial for countering threats from China and Pakistan. CEC improves situational awareness, anti-air and missile defense, and combat effectiveness, allowing for optimal resource allocation against potential saturation attacks. With plans for future expansions, the Indian Navy is significantly bolstering its deterrent capabilities and supporting its strategic objectives in the Indo-Pacific region.
