Indian Army set to order portable drone jammers from Paras Defence
The Indian Army is poised to acquire portable drone jamming technology from Paras Defence and Space Technologies Ltd., marking a significant step in enhancing its air defense capabilities. This contract, valued at up to $3 million, comes in the wake of increased drone threats and the recent Operation Sindoor against Pakistan. The Chimera 200, a compact jamming system with a 3km operational range, has already undergone successful testing. As geopolitical tensions rise, the urgency for agile defense solutions has become paramount, prompting India to explore various drone countermeasures. This initiative not only strengthens India’s defense posture but also underscores the potential of indigenous defense manufacturing in meeting contemporary security challenges.
