Indian Army, ITBP enhance winter surveillance along China border.

The Indian Army and the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) are enhancing surveillance capabilities along the eastern Ladakh border with China, preparing for a sixth consecutive winter amidst ongoing tensions. New high-resolution CCTV cameras and drone technologies are being deployed near buffer zones established post-disengagement agreements, as the People’s Liberation Army continues to occupy areas claimed by India. While both nations maintain substantial troop presence along the Line of Actual Control, concerns arise over perceived territorial concessions by India as the Chinese forces remain within the agreed buffer zones. This strategic vigilance highlights India’s commitment to safeguarding its territorial integrity while navigating complex geopolitical dynamics on its northern frontier.
