Indian Army Introduces 100 Robotic Mules for Logistics and Surveillance along LoC

The Indian Army’s deployment of 100 Multi-Utility Legged Equipment (MULE) robotic mules along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir signifies a major technological advancement in enhancing logistics and surveillance. These robots are engineered to assist in harsh terrains, carrying supplies and improving border surveillance capabilities with advanced sensors, while also easing the physical burden on soldiers. The MULEs are part of a broader strategy to modernize border management, aiming to replace 50-60% of traditional animal transport by 2030, and exemplify the dual-use potential of military technology in humanitarian missions. This innovation underscores the Army’s commitment to enhancing operational efficiency while supporting disaster relief efforts.
