Indian Army deploys advanced MULE robots for LoC surveillance and logistics support.
The Indian Army has commenced the deployment of Multi-Utility Legged Equipment (MULE), advanced robotic mules designed for enhanced surveillance and logistics along the Line of Control (LoC). Capable of navigating steep terrains and operating in extreme temperatures from -45°C to 55°C, these robotic mules can carry payloads of up to 15 kg and are equipped with sensors and cameras for early danger detection. The induction of 100 MULE units, procured under emergency procurement measures, marks a significant advancement in military technology, providing operational flexibility and reducing the physical burdens faced by soldiers. This deployment not only reflects India’s commitment to modernizing its defense capabilities but also emphasizes the importance of innovation in ensuring national security.
