India and the US are set to finalize a $1 billion deal for Tejas jet engines amid ongoing tariff tensions, highlighting the strengthening defense cooperation between the two nations. Recently, the Indian Cabinet Committee on Security approved the acquisition of 97 additional Tejas LCA Mk-1A aircraft from HAL for ₹62,000 crore, aimed at enhancing the Indian Air Force’s depleting squadron strength.
