India to Fast-Track Rampage Missile Acquisition After Operation Sindoor

India is accelerating the acquisition of Rampage missiles from Israel following their successful deployment in Operation Sindoor against terrorist targets in Pakistan. Integrated with Su-30 MKI, Jaguar, and MiG-29 aircraft, these missiles exhibited high striking accuracy and are set to enhance India’s aerial capabilities significantly. The Indian Air Force plans to expedite their procurement under fast-track procedures and is exploring domestic production under the Make in India initiative. Additionally, India’s Mission Sudarshan Chakra aims to establish a comprehensive missile defense system by 2035, further solidifying the nation’s defense posture and positioning it as a global defense exporter.
