India to develop fifth-generation fighter jets soon: Rajnath

India is making significant strides in developing fifth-generation fighter aircraft, as highlighted by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh during his address at the Army War College. He emphasized the nation’s commitment to self-reliance, showcasing advancements in indigenous platforms like the Tejas and Akash missile systems. The defence production has surged from ₹46,425 crore in 2014 to over ₹1.5 lakh crore, with substantial contributions from the private sector, reflecting a successful Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign. This progress in technology and manufacturing underscores India’s emergence as a key player in global defense capabilities and reinforces the importance of indigenous innovation in enhancing national security.
