India plans to acquire five more S-400 units at Modi-Putin summit after Operation Sindoor success.

Following the successful deployment of the S-400 Triumf air defence system during “Operation Sindoor,” India is poised to procure five additional squadrons of this advanced missile system, with discussions set for the upcoming Modi-Putin summit. The S-400, lauded for its exceptional battlefield performance—including the interception of various aerial threats—has proven instrumental in enhancing India’s air superiority. The Defence Ministry has also approved a procurement plan to replenish S-400 missiles, ensuring robust war reserves for potential future conflicts. Additionally, a Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul facility is to be established in India to support long-term operational sustainability, reflecting India’s commitment to strengthening its defense capabilities amid evolving geopolitical challenges.
