India Inducts Enhanced Pinaka Rocket Launcher with 75 km Range
The Indian Army is set to enhance its artillery capabilities with the induction of an extended-range version of the indigenous Pinaka multi-barrel rocket launcher, increasing its strike range from 37 km to approximately 75 km. This new version features advanced GPS and Inertial Navigation Systems, ensuring high precision and resilience against GPS disruption. The Army plans to operate 25 Pinaka units, with each battery capable of launching 72 rockets in 44 seconds, allowing for devastating area coverage.
