The Southern Air Command of the Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to host an industry outreach programme and exhibition on October 31 in Thiruvananthapuram, focusing on drone applications for logistics and mobility in island territories. Collaborating with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry, the event aims to gather key stakeholders from the Ministry of Defence, the Indian Armed Forces, and academia to discuss the development of autonomous logistics solutions specifically for Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands. The initiative, part of the Mehar Baba-4 competition, underscores the strategic importance of unmanned aerial systems in enhancing operational capabilities in remote areas.
