IAF's New 1000km Air-Launched LRLACM to Transform Defense Strategy

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to enhance its capabilities with the induction of the air-launched Long Range Land Attack Cruise Missile (LRLACM), boasting a range of over 1000 km. Developed by DRDO, this missile integrates advanced technologies and is designed for deployment from platforms like the Su-30MKI. Its precision-guided capabilities and stealth features will enable the IAF to conduct effective strikes deep into adversarial territory, particularly against threats from China and Pakistan. This program, part of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, aims to bolster self-reliance in defense while positioning India as a potential exporter in the global arms market.
