IAF Seeks Local Support for Indigenous Rafale FDR Analysis Tool

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is actively seeking local industrial support to develop an indigenous Flight Data Recorder (FDR) analysis tool for its Rafale fleet, which currently relies on a complex and slow software system from Dassault Aviation. This initiative aims to streamline maintenance, enhance operational readiness, and support rapid turnaround by reducing analysis time significantly. The new tool will allow for multi-user access, enabling real-time troubleshooting and data sharing beyond the existing limitations tied to a single Leader PC, ultimately aligning with the IAF’s Integrated Air Command and Control System for improved situational awareness and fleet management. This move underscores India’s commitment to bolstering its defense capabilities through indigenous solutions.
