IAF Chief urges timely aircraft deliveries to enhance operational readiness.
Air Chief Marshal A.P. Singh emphasized the critical need for aircraft manufacturers to adhere to delivery timelines for the Indian Air Force (IAF) to maintain operational readiness in a rapidly changing security environment. Speaking at the Aeronautics 2047 seminar, he celebrated the Aeronautical Development Agency’s success with the light combat aircraft (LCA) Tejas, which has achieved over 5,600 flight trials. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) chairman, Samir V. Kamat, reiterated the importance of developing indigenous technologies to reduce reliance on imports, aligning with India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. The seminar focused on advancements in aerospace technologies, including next-generation aircraft manufacturing, AI in design, and precision manufacturing, underscoring India’s commitment to advancing its defense capabilities.
