HAL to deliver 2 Tejas Mk-1A jets in October despite engine delays
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to deliver the first two LCA Tejas Mk-1A aircraft in October, overcoming engine delivery delays from the US. With ten aircraft already built and tested, HAL expects to receive additional engines this month to support production. The contract for 113 F404 engines is pending signing, with the Cabinet Committee on Security having already cleared it. The Tejas Mk-1A has successfully completed weapons integration trials, and despite some setbacks, HAL is advancing work on both the Tejas and upgrading Su-30s, affirming its crucial role in strengthening India’s defense capabilities.
