Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is strengthening its commitment to self-reliance in defense manufacturing by partnering with Yantra India Limited and Mishra Dhatu Nigam Limited to source raw materials for the Su-30MKI fighter aircraft. This collaboration aims to increase the indigenous content of the aircraft to nearly 75% within 4-5 years, aligning with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The Su-30MKI, a vital asset of the Indian Air Force, benefits from enhanced technology transfer and skill development, ensuring timely deliveries and cost-effective production. This strategic move not only reduces reliance on imports but also positions India as a potential exporter of advanced military aircraft.
