HAL Integrates Ice Breaker ALCM with Tejas Mk1A, Enhancing Strike Capabilities.
Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) is set to integrate Israel’s advanced Ice Breaker air-launched cruise missile (ALCM) with the indigenous Tejas Mk1A fighter aircraft, enhancing its capabilities for precision strike missions in high-threat environments. The Ice Breaker, boasting a range exceeding 300 km and AI-powered targeting, aligns with the Indian Air Force’s (IAF) shift towards network-centric warfare. This collaboration, also incorporating IAIs Rampage missile, underscores a strategic partnership between India and Israel to diversify standoff arsenals amidst regional tensions, particularly with China and Pakistan. The integration is expected to elevate the Tejas from a tactical to a versatile strike asset, bolstering India’s defense readiness and positioning its aerospace sector for potential global exports.
