Guided Pinaka Achieves 23m CEP, Exceeding Army Standards
The Director of the Armament Research and Development Establishment (ARDE), A. Raju, announced that the Guided Pinaka rocket system has achieved an impressive Circular Error Probable (CEP) of 23 meters, surpassing the Indian Army’s requirement of 40 meters. This advancement significantly enhances India’s precision strike capabilities, making the Guided Pinaka one of the most accurate artillery systems globally. With a range of up to 75 kilometers and various warhead options, it serves as a cost-effective and mobile fire support solution for high-value targets, reflecting India’s commitment to indigenous defense modernization amidst evolving warfare demands. The system’s success could also lead to increased export opportunities, especially in Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe.
