Global defense adopts anti-drone netting inspired by Ukraine's tactics, enhancing India's countermeasures.

Recent advancements in drone warfare have led to a global embrace of anti-drone netting systems, inspired by successful tactics employed in Ukraine. Vendors, such as UAE-based TAC Armored Vehicles, are demonstrating innovations like the TAC-Q-Net, a lightweight mesh aimed at protecting armored vehicles from drone strikes. While these netting solutions, including established systems like the British Q-Net, provide initial defense, experts emphasize their limitations against coordinated drone attacks, necessitating integrated countermeasures. Notably, India’s defense sector is advancing its capabilities with vehicle-mounted systems that incorporate radar, laser, and electronic warfare technologies, reflecting a strategic shift towards a comprehensive multi-layered approach for countering aerial threats in modern hybrid warfare.
