Engineers India Ltd (EIL) has signed a preliminary MoU with the Nuclear Power Corporation of India Ltd (NPCIL) to provide engineering services for developing small modular reactors (SMRs), supporting India’s goal of achieving 100 gigawatts of nuclear power capacity by 2047. This initiative aligns with the government’s vision of enhancing energy security through clean and reliable nuclear energy. The MoU aims to develop the Bharat Small Modular Reactor (BSMR), marking a significant step towards India’s Nuclear Energy Mission for a self-reliant and sustainable future.
