DRDO Transfers Three Advanced Materials Technologies to Industry
The DRDO’s Defence Metallurgical Research Laboratory (DMRL) in Hyderabad has successfully transferred three advanced materials technologies to industry partners, a move that marks a significant progression in indigenous materials technology for strategic applications. This initiative, highlighted by the Licensing Agreement for Transfer of Technology (LAToT) signed on August 30, 2025, emphasizes DMRL’s commitment to fostering industry-research partnerships, which are crucial for rapidly scaling technological innovations. Additionally, a Memorandum of Understanding was established with the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau to leverage DMRL’s expertise and facilities, bolstering collaborative efforts across sectors. This strategic move positions India to enhance its defense capabilities while promoting domestic industries.
