The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) is set to conduct trials for new guided bomb kits, marking a significant enhancement of India’s precision strike capabilities. In preparation, the DRDO has procured 100 inert 100kg bombs for thorough testing, aiming to convert conventional bombs into precision-guided munitions that ensure accurate strikes with minimal collateral damage. This initiative not only emphasizes the importance of validating system performance and integration but also aligns with India’s Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat campaigns, promoting indigenous development and reducing reliance on foreign defense technology. Such advancements bolster the operational effectiveness of the Indian armed forces in modern warfare.
