The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has officially released the Indian Radio Software Architecture (IRSA) standard 1.0, aimed at enhancing interoperability in military communication. This initiative, launched during a national workshop on October 6, 2025, signifies a crucial step towards self-reliance in India’s defense communication technologies, establishing a standardized framework for Software Defined Radios (SDR).
