Dhruva Space to Launch Australian Payloads with Indian Technology

Dhruva Space, an Indian private space start-up, is set to launch its first commercial satellite mission, LEAP-1, in Q3 2025, deploying Australian payloads from Akula Tech and Esper Satellites using its indigenously developed P-30 satellite platform. This mission underscores the strengthening Indo-Australian collaboration, receiving support from the U.S., and signifies a shift towards commercial operations after successful technology testing. The mission will utilize advanced AI for on-orbit data processing and a hyper-spectral imager for Earth observation, supporting various applications from agriculture to disaster management. LEAP-1 highlights India’s growing presence in the global space market and its capabilities in advanced satellite technology.
