Defence Consultative Committee visits DRDO's ARDE to review military technologies.
On October 16, 2025, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh led the Consultative Committee for the Ministry of Defence on a visit to the Armament Research & Development Establishment (ARDE) in Pune, where they reviewed advanced military technologies, including the Advanced Towed Artillery Gun System and AKASH-New Generation missile. Emphasizing the need for India to become a leader in defence technology, Singh reiterated the government’s commitment to self-reliance (Aatmanirbharta) and innovation in response to evolving global threats. He highlighted the collaborative efforts between DRDO, industry, academia, and start-ups in fostering a supportive ecosystem for defence research. This initiative not only aims to modernize India’s armed forces but also positions the nation as a trusted global defence partner, underscoring the importance of technological supremacy in national security.
