CDS Chauhan: Sudarshan Chakra to be a powerful integrated defense system

India’s proposed Sudarshan Chakra air defense system, articulated by Chief of Defence Staff Gen Anil Chauhan, aims to integrate advanced sensors, missiles, and AI tools, resembling Israel’s Iron Dome. This ambitious project, announced by Prime Minister Modi, is set for implementation by 2035 and aims to shield vital national assets while ensuring a robust military response. Gen Chauhan emphasized the need for a whole-of-nation approach, integrating multiple domains and advanced technologies to enhance operational capabilities. He also highlighted the importance of joint training and research in military strategy, underscoring India’s commitment to self-reliance and future-ready defense forces.
