BSF Trains Drone Commandos to Enhance Border Security
The Border Security Force (BSF) is enhancing its capabilities by training specialized units of drone commandos and warriors at a newly inaugurated School of Drone Warfare in Madhya Pradesh. This initiative aims to address modern strategic challenges, particularly in light of lessons learned from Operation Sindoor and the ongoing conflicts like the Russia-Ukraine war, where drones play a pivotal role. The training will encompass UAV operations, anti-drone warfare, and intelligence gathering, utilizing AI and other advanced technologies. The BSF, which guards extensive borders with Pakistan and Bangladesh, is also combatting the threat posed by Chinese-made drones used for smuggling. This proactive approach significantly strengthens India’s border security and defense strategies.
