BSF launches AI and GIS command centre to secure Pakistan, Bangladesh borders.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has inaugurated a new command centre named the Decision Support System (DSS) at its headquarters, aimed at bolstering India’s border security with Pakistan and Bangladesh. This advanced command and control system utilizes artificial intelligence (AI) and geographic information systems (GIS) to enhance decision-making capabilities for commanders. The DSS will integrate various data sources, enabling predictive analysis to identify smuggling hotspots and infiltration routes while improving resource allocation. By leveraging cutting-edge technology, the BSF aims to address evolving border security challenges, significantly enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness in safeguarding India’s extensive borders. This initiative underscores India’s commitment to modernizing its defense infrastructure and effectively countering emerging threats.
