BSF boosts drone warfare capabilities to counter rising aerial threats.
The Border Security Force (BSF) is enhancing its drone warfare capabilities in response to escalating aerial threats, as evidenced in recent conflicts worldwide and Pakistan’s attempts to exploit airspace during Operation Sindoor. BSF Inspector General Shashank Anand highlighted ongoing advancements in drone technology and counter-drone systems, including the establishment of forensic laboratories and a School of Drone Warfare in collaboration with leading engineering institutes. The BSF’s strategic focus extends beyond border security to encompass social and economic safety for border populations, with government initiatives supporting community bunkers in Jammu and Kashmir. These developments underscore the BSF’s commitment to adapting to modern warfare challenges and ensuring national security in a complex geopolitical landscape.
