Odisha-based startup BonV Aero has achieved a significant milestone in Indian aviation by completing the country’s first 60 km Beyond Visual Line of Sight (BVLOS) drone mission, successfully transporting a 20 kg payload over 75 minutes. This accomplishment not only demonstrates the company’s advancements in heavy-lift unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) technology but also underscores its potential for military logistics and humanitarian efforts, particularly in challenging terrains. Following a prior record-setting flight at an altitude of 19,024 feet in Ladakh, BonV Aero is now poised to integrate its innovative drone solutions into operational frameworks aimed at enhancing national resilience and connectivity in disaster-prone regions and underserved areas.
