Flying Wedge Defence and Aerospace (FWDA) has launched the Kaala Bhairav, India’s first indigenous AI-powered Medium Altitude Long Endurance (MALE) combat drone, showcasing a 30-hour endurance and 3000 km range at a significantly lower cost compared to U.S. Predator systems. The drone, developed under the Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative, has already garnered a $25 million export order from a South Asian nation, reflecting India’s growing capabilities in defense manufacturing. The Kaala Bhairav not only enhances India’s military autonomy but also positions the country as an emerging defense exporter, reducing reliance on foreign technology and strengthening regional security dynamics.
