Astra Rafael Comsys Wins ₹285.56 Crore MoD Order for IAF Communications.

Astra Rafael Comsys, a joint venture between India’s Astra Microwave Products and Israel’s Rafael Advanced Defence Systems, has secured a ₹285.56 crore contract from the Ministry of Defence dated October 31, 2025. The order is for supplying advanced communication systems and accessories to the Indian Air Force’s Special Forces, aimed at enhancing secure and reliable operational communications in electronically contested, high-threat environments. The contract is expected to be executed within 11 months, reflecting a swift delivery timeline. This development aligns with India’s strategic thrust on indigenization of defence technology under the “Make in India” initiative, strengthening tactical communication capabilities essential for modern warfare. Astra Rafael Comsys specializes in military-grade software-defined radios and electronic warfare systems, further consolidating its role as a key domestic supplier.
