Army's CDD-2025 aims to boost indigenous capabilities for national security.
The Indian Army is set to host the Chanakya Defence Dialogue 2025 (CDD-2025) in New Delhi on November 27-28, focusing on enhancing indigenous capabilities under the theme “Reform to Transform: Sashakt, Surakshit aur Viksit Bharat.” Chief of Army Staff General Upendra Dwivedi emphasized the crucial link between national development and security, while former minister Rajeev Chandrasekhar underscored the role of indigenous technology in bolstering national resilience. Discussions will center on Atmanirbharta, strategic autonomy, and fostering collaboration between DRDO, private sectors, and academia to build a robust defense ecosystem, enhancing India’s operational readiness and reducing external dependencies, thereby contributing to the vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
