Akin Analytics to establish a major drone manufacturing hub in Andhra Pradesh.
Hyderabad-based Akin Analytics has secured land in Andhra Pradesh to set up a state-of-the-art drone manufacturing facility as part of the ambitious Drone City project in Orvakal, Kurnool district. Announced on December 2, 2025, this initiative is integral to the state’s plan to develop India’s first and largest Drone City, spread over 300 acres. The project, aligned with Andhra Pradesh’s vision under Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and supported by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, aims to create a comprehensive ecosystem including manufacturing, research, testing, and pilot training, expected to generate around 40,000 jobs. The facility emphasizes AI-driven applications in agriculture, defense, and multiple sectors, and will host the world’s largest common drone testing facility. Supported by government incentives and the Atmanirbhar Bharat push for self-reliance, this development solidifies Andhra Pradesh’s position as India’s drone innovation leader, reducing import dependency while boosting indigenous capabilities. Akin Analytics, India’s first women-led deep-tech drone startup, leverages AI and pilot training expertise to advance the sector significantly.
