Helsing and Saab Germany have announced a contract to integrate artificial intelligence software into the Eurofighter’s future electronic warfare (EW) system, valued in the triple-digit million-euro range. The integration of Helsing’s AI-based Cirra software into Saab’s Arexis sensor suite aims to enhance the Eurofighter’s capabilities in conducting EW missions, particularly against modern air defense networks. This initiative is part of a broader Luftwaffe effort to improve data-sharing across combat aircraft, with the three-year integration plan following successful tests of Cirra’s functionality aboard a flying testbed. The upgrade is expected to significantly enhance survivability and situational awareness for the Eurofighter fleet.
